Wire fraud is a growing risk in real estate transactions. Criminals may attempt to send fake wiring instructions that appear legitimate.

For your protection:

• OSCS will never email wiring instructions for closing funds.

• We will never send updated wire instructions via email.

• We will never ask you to wire funds to a new or changed account.

 

If you receive wiring instructions by email — especially if they are marked “urgent” or request changes — do not send funds.

Always verify wiring instructions verbally using a previously known and trusted phone number for your title company or attorney.
